Luanda – The Spanish Co-operation in Angola, together with the Local Administration Training Institute (IFAL), promoted on July 16, in Luanda a conference on “Information technologies as backbone element in the territorial de-concentration process”.
According to the director of SATEC, the firm responsible for the event, Borja Monreal, the conference discussed issues related to administrative de-concentration in Angola and the help technologies of information can provide for the development of the process.
The conference is part of a project for IFAL institutional strengthening the Spanish Co-operation has been developing since 2009, aimed at improving the structures of support led by the local administrations.
Borja Monreal stated that as part of the project, computer courses are being run to improve IFAL’s management and organisation.
The project includes the installing of a Documentation Centre specialised in Public Management and Promotion of Local Development at IFAL, as a tool for consultation and research.
