Luanda – The Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCIT), in co-ordination with the Organising Committee of the Africa Cup of Nations (COCAN), will hold on Friday in Luanda a workshop under motto “Scoring with science and technology in the Orange-Angola CAN2010”.
ANGOP learnt from a communiqué that the seminar aims at encouraging youths to love science and innovation, in which topics relating to food security, water resources and the history of football in Angola and the CAN shall be presented.
Taking into account that Angola is getting ready to host one of the major sports events of the African continent, science and technology is present at all areas of the society as an element that will assist in the development of humanity.
The document states that practicing sports is not beyond this assessment nowadays and each time more sports resorts to scientific methods and modern techniques that help achieve levels of excellence.
Aware of this problem, the Ministry of Science and Technology joins hands with COCAN in disseminating the Nations Cup, with the holding of a series of workshops under the motto “Scoring with science and technology in the Orange-Angola CAN2010”.
