Environment Ministry releases book on Climate Changes


Luanda – The Ministry of Environment is releasing this Tuesday in Luanda the book on the First National Communication, under the Climate Changes.


This was said to Angop on Monday in Luanda by the focal point of Angola for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Changes, Abias Huongo.


According to him, the document is a kind of report that illustrates political, social and geographical characteristics of the country and it also comprises other aspects related to the reduction of emissions of gases to the atmosphere.

 
He said that the book also comprises aspects related to the integration of climate changes in the most varied sectors and current situation of vulnerability in regard with this phenomenon.


According to the source, the document to be released indicates that the provinces of Cunene, Namibe, Huíla and Luanda, as the most affected ones by the phenomenon in the last years.


According to him, the book indicates that the sectors of Agriculture, Construction, Economy and Oil are the areas that most contribute to the climate changes in Angola.

 
The releasing ceremony of the referred book is taking place on the premises of the National Natural History, in an event that is being witnessed by the Minister of Environment, Maria de Fátima Jardim and other guests.
