Environment Minister expected in Lobito city

Luanda – The Minister of Environment, Fátima Jardim, left this Tuesday for the central Benguela province, where he will preside over in Lobito city the opening act of the International 1st Congress on Solid Wastes, being in Angola.


The event, whose activities preliminary debates that started on Monday, is taking place on 23-25 July in Lobito city and it is being attended by 200 participants from 18 countries.


The referred congress will join collective entities, researchers, teachers, managers and staff linked to sustained management of solid wastes and Benguela province is the first African experience in this matter.

 
The topics to be discussed by experts from 18 countries also integrates community officials, namely chieftains, members of civil society and private entities related to the sanitation of environment and management of residual water and solid wastes.
