Rio de Janeiro - Maiombe Environmental Network will sign Thursday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a memorandum of cooperation with Brazilian Jenesis School, for training of Angolan environmentalists.
The signatories of the documents are the chairperson of Maiombe Network, Augusto Januário and an official, whose name has not been disclosed yet, in representation of Brazilian Jenesis School.
The ceremony will be held on the sidelines of the United Nations (UN) Summit on Sustainable Development, entering its second day of plenary.
The establishment of cooperation will enable the training of leaders of national environmentalist organisations.
According to the its secretary general, Rafael Neto, the first phase of cooperation will start in the second quarter of October, with the coming of Brazilian trainers to Luanda.
While the second phase, the Angolan trainees are expected in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to proceed with their training in management, planning and drafting of projects on good environmental practices.
