Luanda – The Minister of Environment, Fátima Jardim, said on Thursday in Luanda that Angola is working hard to have a successful participation in Rio+20 conference, set for 21-22 June in Brazil.
Fátima Jardim said so during the session of debates on Rio+20 conference and the perspectives of the Angolan participation, promoted by the Ecological Youth of Angola (JEA), in partnership with UNDP.
According to her, Angola has been approving various legal mechanisms and worked with associations of civil society, so that the environmental framework may be developed in its various aspects.
The event promoted by JEA and UNDP also aimed to gather environmentalists and ecologists of various organizations of civil society of Angola, looking for common platforms so that Angola may have a successful participation Rio+20 summit and contribute to the achievement of global positive results.
