Executive committed to environmental technologies

 
Luanda - Angolan Government continues focussing on the implementation of environmental technologies, specially in economic sector, with a view to ensure an increased green future in Angola, said Friday in Luanda the vice minister of the sector, Syanga Abílio.


 
Syanga Abílio, who was speaking at the opening of series of debates around the Environmental Technologies at national week of Environment, in the light of National Environment Day, on 31 January, stressed the importance of technologies that boost
sustainable development.


 
According to the vice minister, the promotion of environmental technologies in various sectors of economic life in Angola is part of policies and strategies, as well as education and awareness of the society.


 
"If on one hand it is necessary to educate people to develop values, behaviours, habits and skills turned to the protection and prevention of the environment, on the other, it is important to educate the various sectors of the economy, mainly the productive sector that explores and transforms resources," defended Syanga Abilio.


 
The official urged everyone to participate in the promotion of environment for a better quality of living of the population.

 

The Ministry of Environment has outlined a strategic plan on environmental technologies for 2012/2017 period, where they are defined education and promoting actions of the use of these means, securing and monitoring the implementation of programs and projects for various sectors.

 

The event is addressing, among others, the renewable energy, new technologies in fire prevention, collection and recycling of fluid in the fields of refrigeration and air conditioning as well as regulation of substances that impoverish the ozone layer.


 
The meeting gathers dozens of students, entrepreneurs and interested.
