Luanda – The chairperson of "Maiombe" Forest Network, Rafael Neto, Thursday called for standardising of the environmental education and guidance lines, to better protect the environment.
According to Rafael Neto, who was speaking at a meeting with the Environmental Protection Organisations, the standardisation is necessary due to the existence of the actions that destroy the environment.
“It is necessary to develop an extra environmental education in order to take the teaching to the most remote areas of the country, places that have not been covered yet due to the several reasons", said Maiombe Forest Network official, who suggested that the heads of communities can convey the message.
Rafael Neto also expressed concern about garbage dumping in the sea, construction affecting directly the environment and other factors endangering the nature.
Maiombe Environmental Network is a NGO Forum entrusted with preservation of the environment, improving the people's living standards, as well as conservation and recovery of ecosystems.
