Angola at 2nd Environmental Education Lusophone forum in Cape Verde

Luanda - Angola, through the Maiombe Environmental Network, will take part this month from June 29 to July03, in Praia, Cape Verde, in the 2nd Lusophone meeting of Environmental Education in the Framework of the UN-Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (DESD). 

 

ANGOP learnt the fact through one of the members of the Board of the network, Rafael Miguel Neto, who with his colleague José Augusto Januário participate in the mentioned forum.

 

The meeting, among others objectives, is intended to promote educational cooperation among the education actors of Portuguese-speaking Countries Community enabling them to work actively in the development of local sustainability.

 

It also aims at contributing for theoretical and practical training in participative methodologies which are supporter of Environmental Education. 

 

The Second International Seminar “Lusophone Meetings” emerges after the first held in Praia, in 2007, and is attended by Portuguese speaking people and citizens from Galiza.
