Luanda – The Angolan Environment minister, Maria de Fátima Monteiro Jardim, is paying an official visit to the People’s Republic of China.
The visit, results from an invitation of her Chinese counterpart, the Environment Protection minister, aiming to launch bilateral cooperation between both countries.
During the visit there will be signed an understanding memorandum between both ministries to launch bilateral cooperation between both countries.
The programme plans specific cooperation actions, such as, environment policies, management of the solids residues, water and atmosphere pollution control, environment protection technologies, climate changes, environment education and other areas.
The visiting programme includes meetings with Chinese authorities dealing with environment protection, as well as with the state commission for Development and Reform of the People’s Republic of China.
The Angolan delegation is integrated by the general secretary of the Environment Ministry, Sebastião Leitão, the directors of the offices of the Environment ministry, Fernando dos Santos, of the national environment management, Camilo Ceita, the coordinator of the national authority for clean development mechanism, Giza Gaspar Martins, as well as representative of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
