Over 2000 metres of Kuito airport gets asphalted

Kuito – At least 2,400 metres of the runway of Kuito’s Joaquim Kapango airport got the last asphalt layer, missing only 300 metres for its conclusion.


According to what ANGP checked, it is expected the repair of the structures of the airport and its accesses.


According to the local director of the public works department, João Marques Bango, at this moment it is being prepared other sections of the runway for the application of sub-basis.


The works comprise the construction of the drainage system the road margin line-up, street lighting instalment and fencing.


According to him, after its conclusion in May of this year, the runway of Joaquim Kapango airport will have the capacity of receiving big planes.


The construction works are under the responsibility of the Angolan company Paviterra.
