Luanda gains new benchmark of architectural heritage

Luanda - The Minister of Urbanisation and Construction, Fernando Fonseca, said on Friday here  that the Palace of Justice is an emblematic building that is from now on a benchmark of Luanda’s architectural heritage.

The official said so after the inauguration act of the referred building by the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos.

According to him, the Palace of Justice aims to give dignity, credibility and confidence to the courts and its governing bodies.

The minister said that traces of the infrastructure combines with classical lines of modernism and falls into the references and context of the Integrated Development Plan for Political and Administrative Centre of Luanda, reflecting on sobriety, austerity, grandeur and beauty.

According to the minister, the inaugurated building is the final result of an intense work of professionals who have embodied the political orientation of the Angolan Head of State.

The minister said that with the Palace of Justice, conditions are created for functionality, operability and maintenance of the building.
