Luanda - The re-qualification of Luanda Bay, underway since 2011 and in construction of four new routes for cars and other four for motorcycles and bicycles, is being carried out under the environmental, urban and international landscape norms.

Pedro Rodriques, an official in charge of contract, told Angop Tuesday that efforts are being made so that the programme runs smoothly and within deadline and meet the established standards.

"We are doing everything so that by the end of this month we can hand over the second phase of the contract," he said.

Worth AKz 200 million, the face lift of Luanda Bay is intended to harmoniously integrate the human intervention and natural beauty, with the construction of the public and private works along the marginal zone.

The third  phase of the work is expected to kick off early 2013 and will  last six months.
