Luanda – Three roads were inaugurated Thursday in Luanda by Angolan minister of Urbanisation and Construction, Fernando Fonseca, under the Programme of Rehabilitation of Structuring Roads in the country’s capital.
They are the Gamek/Antigo Controle, Viana/Cabolombo and Viana/Cacuaco roads that provide for a significant improvement to Luanda traffic and urban planning.
The rehabilitation of the said roads included the repair of the technical telephone and water pipe networks, construction of fluvial and residual waters drainage system and paving.
In addition to improving road traffic, the rehabilitation of the above mentioned structuring spines was intended to facilitate mobility in those areas.
The restructuring of the Luanda road network started in 2007.
