Luanda – The second phase of the System I Water Treatment Station, located in Kifangondo locality, in Luanda Province, will have the capacity to supply 120.000 cubic metres of the precious liquid per day, which is the double the capacity of the first phase.
Speaking to ANGOP on Monday, the assistant director-general of the Public Water Supply Company (EPAL), Albertino Viegas, said when the second phase starts functioning, in the end of the first semester of 2012, it will double the supply capacity to 120.000 cubic metres.
She informed that the mentioned water treatment station, also known by the name ETA Candelabro, so far supplies the zones of Panguila, in Cacuaco Municipality, and the distribution centre of Cazenga.
“After finishing the construction of the second phase, we’ll start the third stage, which will enable us to produce 180.000 cubic metres of water per day".
She also reaffirmed that System I will strengthen the system and improve the water supply to Luanda City.
