Government committed to improving housing conditions - Urbanism minister

Kuito - The angolan government is committed to improving people housing conditions, building houses throughout the country, Urbanism and Construction Minister, Jose Ferreira, stated today in Kuito.

 

According to the minister, land reserves are now being selected, under the National Urbanism and Housing Program, for the construction of houses aimed at the improment of housing conditions of the population.  

 

During his visit to the central highland Bie province, minister Jose Ferreira met governor  Alvaro Boavida Neto and the public works sector workers, visited the Kuito land reserve and  inaugurated the 20 houses for teachers and doctors, and a hospital unit next to the child  maternal center.    

 

The new hospital unit has two doctor offices and chaildcare, family planning, obstetrics, pharmacy, laboratory and delivery rooms for 60 pregnant women.
