Huambo – The minister of Urbanisation and Construction, José da Silva Ferreira, Friday in central Huambo province guaranteed the rehabilitation and asphalting of the routes of access to the Regional Centre for Children's Development and Integral Protection.
The minister said so at the end of his visit of some hours to the respective undertaking, in its conclusive phase, linked to the Ministry of Assistance and Social Welfare and which will accommodate 1,200 children of both genders.
“We made a joint visit with the Welfare minister in order to study mechanisms of rehabilitating the routes of access so as to enable the conclusion of the centre as soon as possible. Next week we will submit feasible proposals to three local construction companies”, he said.
Minister José da Silva Ferreira said that the provincial public works department will submit to the companies that shall be tasked with presenting the cost of rehabilitating and asphalting the respective 900 metres of the routes of access to the centre.
