Luanda – Angolan minister of Urbanisation and Construction, José da Silva Ferreira, Friday in Luanda reiterated that the promotion of social housing is among the Angolan government's priorities, whose policy is based on meeting the basic needs of the most
disadvantaged people.
The minister was addressing an opening ceremony of presentation forum of draft laws, decrees and intended to collect contributions on the issue related to "Real Estate Mediation, Urban Lease" and "Cooperatives of Social Housing Construction".
The government minister said that the goal should be sustained by a set of standards and legal building safeguarding the interests of state and citizen.
Aware of its responsibility, said the minister, the Government, along with its partners, is busy searching for solutions for sustainability and credibility of this programme.
The meeting is seeking to create a standardised and legal framework of support to the options enshrined in the national urbanisation and housing programmes in order to speed up and promotion of housing policy in Angola.
