Luanda – The works for the conclusion of the repair of the “São Francisco de Assis” school, under “Santo António” Mission, in Makela do Zombo district, northern Uige province, started this month.
According to a note from the company carrying out the works, the works of repair are part of “N’Kuna Wau Kwani” project, that includes the manufacture of desks and conclusion of the institution’s works.
In addition to completing the repair of the school, that started in 2007, the project includes the supply of water and electricity, which will enable night lessons and increase the number of students attending school.
According to the note, a total of 150 desks will be manufactured, with the whole project expecting to benefit 720 students.
The project is being carried out in a partnership with “Santo António” Mission that operates in the region since the 50’s, catering currently for more than 1,600 students.
