Luanda, - Boavista/Kinfangondo highway, connecting districts of Sambizanga and Cacuaco, in a 17-kilometres distance, will get five overpasses for pedestrians throughout the route, Angop has learnt.
The information was disclosed Friday by the director-general of the company in charge of works, José Diniz, who added that these structures start being built at the greatest concentration points of the people.
According to him, the bridges for pedestrians will have normal access (stairs) and others exclusive for disabled people in wheelchairs (ramps).
The construction work started in 2007, under the government plan to rehabilitate Luanda's structuring and tertiary roads.
Scheduled to end this year, Boavista/Kifangondo road is divided into two lots, with the first starting from Boavista to Cacuaco town (10 km), while the second, that covers 7km, goes from "Zona da Salina" salt producing locality, as far as Kifangondo.
