Benguela
High voltage electricity assembly works proceed

Lobito – The assembly works continue to connect the high voltage electricity system from the Cambambe dam via Gabela, Kwanza Sul province, to Quileva power station in Benguela,  the head of the project, Kennet Andersson, confirmed Friday.


 
Addressing Angop the swedish engineer explained that the project started eight months ago with the assembly of  the shipyard, the import of materials and cleanning of about 40 miles out of the 200 miles of the roadway Gabela/Quileva.

 

Meanwhile, mr Andersson expressed concern about the bureaucratic procedures to move out container from Lobito port, saying that his company is waiting more than eight months for 340 containers.

 

The Project has 115 workers including 10 expatriates.
