Govt vows to construct 20 fountains in Sambizanga District

Luanda – At least 20 fountains will be built by the first half of 2010, in  Sambizanga District, by the provincial government of Luanda, as part of the “Water for all  Programme”, underway in the country since 2007, ANGOP has learnt.

 

According to commune administrator, David da Costa Júnior, the new fountains will be built in  the Lixeira zone, considered one of most critical in terms of water supply.

 

The Sambizanga District, inhabited by about 222.000 people, is divided in four sectors and  since 2009 it hs a new water supply system, with the installing of new pipes measuring 200  millimetres of diameter, as well as fountains built in various parts of the zone.
