Nigerian ambassador praises Angola's organisational capacity

Luanda - The Nigerian ambassador to Angola, Layiwola Laseinde,  Monday here praised the organisational capacity of the Angolan authorities in holding the Orange Africa Cup of Nations (Angola2010), which ended on January 31.


Speaking to ANGOP, the diplomat considered the event's organising committee as great professional team work, who contributed greatly to the success of the African competition, won by Egypt after beating Ghana 1-0 in the final.


According to him, the security system in organising the public and the group of supporters, the accommodation service, the process of transporting the teams and other services, were at the same level of international competitions, a fact which dignifies the continent.


Regarding the Nigerian football male team’s participation, the ambassador considered as positive, although Nigeria did not win the cup, but ended in the third position of the competition, adding that in the World Cup, in South Africa, the Super Eagles will show their true value.
