CAN song out within 15 days

Luanda – The song for the African Football Cup of Nations (CAN) Angola will host in January 2010, will be presented to the public in the coming 15 days, Angop learned.

 

This was announced Thursday in Luanda at the end of a meeting of the events organising committee (COCAN), chaired by the prime minister, António Paulo Kassoma.
 

According to COCAN spokesperson, Manuel Mariano, "the song will be based on the proposal presented by the musicians Filipe Mukenga and Filipe Zau”, after improvements.

 

The source said the Social Communication Ministry and COCAN executive commission have been instructed to improve the proposed song, so it can be released in the coming 15 days.

 

Thursday’s meeting that went for three hours and 35 minutes, focused on nine points, including the prices of tickets for the games.

 

The CAN2010 will take place from January 10-31 in four Angolan cities, namely, Luanda, Bengela, Cabinda and Lubango.
