Luanda - The Angolan president, José Eduardo dos Santos, was praised by the African youth for the notable success in the preparation of the CAN-2010, set for next January 10-30, reads a message delivered on Monday by the chairperson of the Confederation of African Football , Issa Hayatou.
The entity transmitted this felicitation in a verbal message to the Angolan Premier, António Paulo Kassoma, during an audience.
According to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Gonçalves Muandumba, who witnessed the meeting, President José Eduardo dos Santos, was praised for his great engagement in the preparation of the competition, with highlight to the building of four new and modern stadiums, despite the world financial and economic crisis.
For the Minister of Youth and Sports, the message comes to encourage the Angolans in working more and more towards the competition.
Issa Hayatou arrived on Friday in Luanda for a four-day visit, in order to assess the works of infrastructures of CAN-2010, that Angola is to hold in Luanda, Benguela, Cabinda and Huila provinces.
