Luanda – The Angolan Minister of Hotels and Tourism, Pedro Mutindi, left Tuesday for Cabinda province, where he is expected to make the official launching of national programme towards the upgrading of professionals of the sector, with the purpose of providing better services during African Cup of nations of Football (CAN) to take place in Angola in 2010.
Speaking to Angop, the national director for educational issues of the Ministry of Tourism and Hotels, Amélia Cazelma, said that for two months and half the sector professionals will benefit from five upgrading courses, of which four are addressed to hotel professionals.
According to that official, at least 500 professionals of field, who work as tour guides will benefit from the referred instruction, which will comprise namely the courses of kitchen, pastry, restaurant, bar and reception.
The national learning programme and itinerant brigades is expected to upgrade the sector professionals in order to assure a better capacity of hosting tourists who eventually will be travelling to the country to attend CAN2010, which will take place in provinces namely of Luanda, Cabinda, Huila and Benguela.
