Sumbe, 01/11– A permanent campaign to clamp down on drivers in possession of illegal vehicles will begin on 01th February in the coastal Kwanza Sul province, said the Provincial Command of the National Police.

According to a communiqué issued by the corporation, made available to ANGOP on Friday,the blitz will also target motorists without driving licence and those riding motorbikes without using a helmet.

The sources also stressed that they will be considered suspects of possessing stolen goods or acquired them illegally and will be submitted to the organs of justice for the effect.

"The provincial Department of Road and Traffic of National Police Command has the duty, the right and obligation to fulfil its decisive role focussed on creating the necessary methodological and technical conditions of road safety, taking into account a safe circulation of people and goods", reads the press release.
