Luanda – A delegation of 150 Cuban physicians arrived Thursday in Luanda to reinforce the National Health System (SNS), Angop learnt at the airport.
The delegation was welcomed at Luanda’s “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport by the deputy governor for Community Affairs, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho.
The deputy governor said that in bringing the Cuban medical doctors to Angola, the Government is seeking to improve the health services and spare Angolan patients from having to travel abroad for treatment.
The officials said as well that 60 of the 150 Cuban physicians will remain in Luanda province.
