Health minister José Van-Dunem
Luanda – The Health Minister, José Van-Duném, recognised on Sunday in Luanda that there are difficulties in several fields of the health sector.
“About 70 per cent of the sanitary network was destroyed by the war and thus contributing to the emergence of problems along these years”, said the minister during an interview to the public space programme of the Angolan Public Television (TPA).
Moreover, the official said that health doesn’t only mean the absence of disease and within this perspective the sector faces some problems, but it should be seen positively so as not to lose hope.
He said that the peace achievement enabled the reconstruction of the sanitary network in more than 40 per cent and creation of five universities since 2009, as well as reopening 13 nursing institutes.
