Transport sector firms must provide quality service - minister

Luanda - The firms in the public transport entrepreneurial sector must ensure quality public service, including availability, frequency and security, said last Monday the Transport minister, Augusto da Silva Tomás.

The minister made this statement at the opening of the Fourth Broad Consultative Council of the Transport Ministry, having highlighted that the service must be provided at low cost and with quality.

He went on to say that the companies that operate in this sector have to show modernity, efficiency and competitiveness, so that they can overcome the difficulties relating to the use of scarce resources.

He also deemed it important the role of private operators in the creation of a transportation service that responds effectively to the needs of citizens and firms.
