Cunene: Farmers urged to show greater commitment to food production

Ondjiva - Farmers in the southern Cunene province have been told to show greater engagement in agriculture in order to insure the food production increase to fight hunger in the region.

The appeal was launched by provincial director of the sector in Cunene, Dinis Pedro Pacavira,

on the sidelines of the first ordinary session of provincial social consultation council meeting.

According to him, the efforts focused on the production are also intended to raise agricultural production.

Dinis Pacavira stressed the contribution of farmers in the purchase of agricultural seeds.

The official expects good harvest, should the rain fall with regularity.
