This was said so to Angop by the vice governor of Malanje for Political and Social Issues, Manuel Campos, who also advised the farmers in order to increase production to improve the livelihood and socio-economic development of the region.

The vice governor was speaking at a round table under the theme "Quela invests in the farming sector to promote and diversify the local economy", under the festivities of the 48th founding anniversary of the municipality, marked on February 8.

Manuel Campo recalled that the city is historically agricultural, having been in the past one of the largest cotton producers in the country.

On his turn, the municipal administration, Ananias Gomes invited the businessmen to invest in the farming sector and to maximize the commercial sector.

This is the first edition of the official celebrations of the February 8, in Quela, since it ascension to the category of municipality in 1968.
